Financial Management (2nd Edition)

The purpose of this book is to present and analyze the theory and the practical applications of Financial Management in an understandable way, so that it resolves rather than creates questions. It describes not only what financial managers of a company do and why, but also how they should do it, in order to maximize the value of their company.

The 2^nd revised edition of the book, which was first published in 2008, is the result of an effort to reform, enrich, update, and improve its content, with the aim of facilitating the reader in their study. The great acceptance that the previous edition received from a large number of readers, in addition to being a special honor for the book, creates the obligation and the need for its continuous improvement and updating. This is the purpose of the present 2^nd edition. 

The 2^nd edition, like the previous one, reflects the experiences from the authors' long tenure both in teaching the theory and practice of Financial Management to undergraduate and postgraduate students and business executives, and from their professional activity as executives and consultants for large companies and organizations.

The book consists of two parts:

1. The first part contains twenty chapters, which cover the most important topics of Financial Management and include examples and exercises with indicative answers.

2. The second part contains nine case studies, which cover the most important topics of Financial Management, as developed in the first part. They are in a directed version, as, at their end, they include a large number of questions, guiding the reader in solving them. After the presentation of each case study, indicative answers to its questions follow.
