Safety and Health Management for Employees

The absence of processes for the prevention and/or reduction of serious accidents and occupational diseases, and the failure to promote employee health, entail substantial damage to a company in various ways.

Thus, the need for developed safe working methods, accident reporting procedures, and adequately developed safety monitoring systems is clear and imperative. 

The book "Employee Safety and Health Management" has the following objectives:

· To serve as a training manual for instructors of related courses

· To become a tool for businesses that must comply with certain rules based on legislation and also develop
a philosophy of accident prevention-reduction in the workplace.

· To become a tool for health and safety professionals who contribute to the reduction of accident-related damages.

The content has been fully adapted to the requirements of the Greek reality and the regulations governing the operation of businesses within the framework of employee safety and health. Its publication coincides with the decision of the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Social Solidarity approving the "National Strategy for Health and Safety at Work," which makes it even more necessary for employers, employees, and health and safety professionals to be informed and to comply with the new directives.
